Job Description

As an assembly technician, you’ll follow design and engineering diagrams to assemble sign parts coming out of fabrication and add lighting. Assembly technicians are the last hands to touch our signs before they are seen by a customer and therefore play an essential role in quality control. Our assembly shop is a great place for someone with little experience to learn a lot about the sign industry. Assembly technicians have successfully transitioned to project management or sales because of their strong, first-hand understanding of how signs are built.

Required Skills

  • Understand how to read a measuring tape
  • Some experience with hand tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Some experience with electrical work preferred

Responsibilities

An assembly technician is a flexible role, responsibilities will change regularly and may include:

  • Building sign faces
  • Building channel letters
  • Line voltage (120/277v) electrical work
  • Low voltage (12/24v) electrical work
  • Soldering
  • Installing LED lighting
  • In-shop sign repair
  • Light construction
